Muscadet has nothing in common with Muscat or Muscatel. This ancient Burgundy grape that produced the Melon de Bourgogne is related to the Chardonnay. It is now cultivated in the lower Loire region near to the city of Nantes. Muscadet "sur lie" is a designation is reserved for the best wines of the Nantais region. These quality wines are developed "on yeast" until their time of bottling. This gives them the fine and yeasty taste, depth and a refreshing liveliness.

The Branger family harvests the grapes of their 26 hectares vineyard by hand, a rarity in this flat landscape. The rigorous selection thus obtained makes Claude Branger’s Muscadet exceptional. Amateurs of Picpoul de Pinet are enthusiastic about this Muscadet.

Especially tasty and suited with seafood, mussels, grilled fish and oysters.
